In a Philstar report today Chiz Escudero is favored over Villar and Aquino. UP Alpha Sigma fraternity sponsored moc election from Sept 8-15 result:
Escudero -690 votes - 21 percent
Villar - 365 votes - 11.6 percent
Aquino - 278 votes - 8.8 percent
Madrigal - 258 votes - 8.2 percent
Legarda - 237 votes - 7.9 percent
Fernando - 226 votes - 7.2 percent
Binay - 162 votes - 5.1 percent.

Sen. Manuel Villar Jr., the Nacionalista Party’s standard-bearer, said everybody has the right to run for president. Villar is leading the recent popularity surveys of presidential aspirants, said he could attribute his high ratings to the support he was getting for assisting the poor and overseas Filipino workers.
On the contrary, Liberal Party President and Sen. Manuel Roxas II, who was the party’s standard-bearer, announced last Tuesday that he would give way to Senator Noynoy Aquino to keep the party united.
