Tax Reform Approved in 3rd Reading - And the Tax on Coops?
Originally certified urgent by President Rodrigo Duterte, now the Comprehensive Tax Reform Bill passes congress on its 3rd reading. There were 9 voted against the bill while 246 are in favor.
The bill is also known as Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN)
According to Congressman Bravo and Ben Canama the Cooperatives have been EXCLUDED from the Repealing clause and other sections that attempts to Tax the Coops.
The cooperatives have won in its campaign and have proven that it can influence state policy in favor of cooperatives and its movement.
